Arsenal transfer BLOW! Gunners target Amine Harit set for £7m Schalke switch

Arsenal target Amine Harit is set to join Schalke for £7.75million after completing a medical at the weekend.

The Nantes playmaker had emerged as a target for Arsene Wenger after his impressive performances for the Ligue 1 side.

During his first full season as a regular first team player, the 20-year-old racked up 30 appearances, scoring once, which attracted the attention of a number of clubs.

Bayern Munich as well as Arsenal had reportedly considered a bid but they have been beaten to the punch by their Bundesliga rivals.

Schalke have agreed a fee of around £7.75m, of which £6.25m will be paid up front, with Harit ready to pen a four-year deal at the club.
