Arsenal FC transfer news: Five Alexandre Lacazette alternatives as France forward looks set to stay with Lyon

It appears Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in the hunt for one of their prime transfer targets this summer.

After tracking Alexandre Lacazette for a number of months, and even submitting a bid for the striker, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says it is unlikely the France international will leave before the close of the transfer window.

"I do not think that Alexandre Lacazette will leave this summer." he said.

Lacazette may still leave Lyon this season, but not until the January window when Atletico Madrid are expected to sign him at the end of their transfer ban.
