Arsenal FC news: Arsene Wenger says he wants Olivier Giroud to stay and denies Marseille approach

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal have no plans to sell striker Olivier Giroud this summer.

The France international has been linked with a move to Marseille after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates.

The Ligue 1 club are now backed by American businessman Frank McCourt and they are reportedly prepared to pay £20m for Giroud.

However, Wenger has now responded to such speculation by insisting he wants to keep the 30-year-old at Arsenal.

"I have had no approach from Marseille, and we want to keep Olivier Giroud at the club," said Wenger.

Wenger, meanwhile, again dodged questions over his own future. Read more on that here.
