Alexandre Lacazette is on the verge of completing a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners are willing to break their transfer record to sign the Lyon striker - and Lacazette is keen on the move.

The France international could complete his move to the Emirates as early as next week.

The deal for Lacazette would eclipse the £42.5m Arsenal paid for Mesut Ozil in 2013.

Lacazette had looked set for a move to Atletico Madrid before their transfer ban scuppered a potential deal.

The 26-year-old has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in recent years, having struck 76 league goals over the last three seasons.

Despite Lacazette's imminent arrival, Arsenal still hope to keep hold of Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean forward has just 12 months left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal amid interest from Manchester City.
