AC Milan confident they can conclude deal for Arsenal and Tottenham target Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen

AC Milan are confident they will wrap up a deal for Arsenal and Tottenham target Hakan Calhanoglu - despite talks stalling over a transfer fee.

The midfielder has set his heart on leaving Bayer Leverkusen this summer and he is likely to have plenty of offers on the table.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both fans of the Turkey international, however it is AC Milan who are leading the race for him at the moment.

The Italian club have even reportedly agreed personal terms with Calhanoglu after holding talks with him recently.

However, so far Milan have been unable to agree a fee with Leverkusen for the 23-year-old and it was thought the deal could be on the rocks.

But, according to Calciomercato, Milan are still confident the transfer will go through despite the two parties' differences.

Leverkusen want £26m for Calhanoglu, but so far they have only received an offer of £19m plus bonuses from the Italian club.

Milan, though, are ready to return with a new bid of £22m plus bonuses and they believe this will get the deal over the line.
