Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has travelled to London ahead of his record transfer to Arsenal.

The Gunners have agreed a club-record £60 million fee with Borussia Dortmund for the striker, but the move is being held up as the Bundesliga club are searching for a replacement.

Arsenal have already agreed terms with Aubameyang, and he is now en route to England in order to finalise his move.

Dortmund-based newspaper Nuhr Nachrichten captured footage of Aubameyang arriving at the airport with his family in a gold Range Rover, and he is expected to touch down in England on Tuesday afternoon.

Arsenal need the deal completed by Wednesday’s deadline at 11pm and Aubameyang’s transfer could go down to the wire as Dortmund will not give the green light until they have a replacement signed.

Dortmund had demanded Olivier Giroud on loan as part of Aubameyang’s transfer but it’s understood that the French striker wants to remain in London.

Chelsea could now play a pivotal role in the transfer as they are keen on a deal for Giroud, which would then pave the way for Michy Batshuayi to join Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Reports in France claim that Giroud has agreed a contract with Chelsea but the Premier League champions withdrew their offer to Arsenal on Monday after the Gunners missed their deadline.
