Antonio Conte is keen to add long-term Arsenal target Jean-Michael Seri to his ranks in this month after growing impatient with Tiemoue Bakayoko’s poor form.

The Chelsea coach is a big fan of the dynamic Nice midfielder, who was close to joining Barcelona in the summer, as he looks to strengthen his options in the centre of the park.

Bakayoko’s struggles since a £40million move from Monaco have been well documented and Conte is already planning on replacing him, according to the Sun.

The Blues are not alone in their pursuit of Seri, who has a £35m buyout clause, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain hot on his heels.

It’s thought the 26-year-old favours a move to England and the Ivory Coast star may end up at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has already added Ross Barkley to his midfield in January, but he’s still determined for extra strength in depth and views Seri as a direct replacement for the under-performing Bakayoko.
