Paris Saint-Germain are happy to let Lucas Moura leave the club this month but only on a permanent basis.

Manchester United contacted the Ligue 1 giants last week over Moura’s availability and discussed the option of taking him on loan.

However, PSG will only let Lucas leave the club on a permanent basis as the French club desperately try to recoup funds following a record-breaking summer in 2017.

Lucas joined the club for £38million in 2012 after choosing Paris over Old Trafford but he’s valued at roughly half that now.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to add to his squad and United are ready to bank him after being caught cold by Manchester City’s form this term.

The Portuguese boss wants to strengthen at full-back and in wide midfield. Moura is capable of playing on either wing or even as a wing-back in a back three.

Lucas has made just six appearances this season and would be open to a move to Old Trafford.

However, he has a number of lucrative offers on the table from the far-east.
