Chelsea star Eden Hazard has joked he’ll speak to the club’s board about appointing Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as the Blues’ next manager.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu and he recently admitted he’s a huge fan of the La Liga giants.

Chelsea are keen to tie Hazard down to a new deal but the Belgian is in no rush to renew his contract and says he will wait until the end of the season before deciding his future.

Zidane’s presence at Madrid is said to play a huge part in Hazard’s interest in moving to the Bernabeu but the winger’s joked the Frenchman could move to Stamford Bridge to fulfill his wish of playing under him.

‘I’ll speak to Chelsea’s board about that, we’ll see,’ joked Hazard.

‘More seriously, for now, we have a manager who’s there, and he isn’t a small one either. It’s going to be hard to move him.

‘Your question is pertinent, however. I’ll speak to the board about that [laughs]’

Hazard’s deal expires in 2020 and Chelsea are keen to talk to him about an extension.

However, the Belgian says he wants to focus on the remainder of the season before deciding on his long-term future.

‘I’m here for now, I’m trying to finish the year as best I can. After that, I’ll have two years left on my deal. We’ll see what happens.’
