Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a hamstring injury and Jose Mourinho is hopeful of having him fit for the club’s League Cup clash with Swansea.

The Frenchman has been out of action since sustaining a grade I tear of his hamstring during United’s Champions League clash with Basel.

The 24-year-old had made a brilliant start to the season but Marouane Fellaini has filled in admirably during his absence.

United face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday and face a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in early November.

According to the Independent, United are hopeful that Pogba can feature in their trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea on October 24th and that should give him enough time to be fully fit for their clash against Chelsea.

It’d be a huge boost for Mourinho, who will be without Pogba, Fellaini and Michael Carrick for their clash against Liverpool.

United have a 100% record without Pogba this term but a trip to Anfield represents their biggest test of the season so far.
