Liverpool star Jordan Henderson torn apart by England fans during Slovenia match

Jordan Henderson was targeted by England fans during the turgid World Cup qualifier with Slovenia.

The Liverpool midfielder became the focus on Twitter during a sluggish match at Wembley.

Prior to kick-off the talk had been of England showing their quality and putting on a show as they secured qualification for next summer’s World Cup.

But it was awful.

Henderson in particular was culpable of slowing downplay and sometimes taking the safe approach when a more attacking option might have got the pulse beating a little more.
