Arsenal stuttered to an unconvincing 1-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup and both Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud flattered to deceive at the Emirates.

The pair struggled to create any chances for each other and it was Theo Walcott who scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute against Arsenal’s League One opposition on Wednesday evening.

Sanchez was seen yelling at Giroud on a number of occasions for poor link-up play and, before long, Gooners began picking up on the apparent bad blood between Arsene Wenger’s star forwards.

Giroud repeatedly tried to flick the ball to his strike partner with little to no success and Sanchez ran out of patience with the Frenchman before the first-half was even up.

A perfect example of this came midway through the second-half when the Chilean threw his arms in the air in disbelief at another of Giroud’s attempted flicks.

The north London club were unable to add to Walcott’s earlier effort but Wenger’s men will face Norwich City at home in the fourth-round of the competition.

Here’s how Arsenal supporters reacted to the tension between Sanchez and Giroud… (WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE)
