Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has explained how N’Golo Kante is only improving as a player after becoming more well-rounded in his performances this season.

The Italian tactician was full of praise for Kante after his superb display in the win at Leicester City today, in which he even managed a rare goal on the return to his old club.

The France international scored just twice for Chelsea last season, but was named PFA Player of the Year after his commanding form in the Blues’ midfield.

With his goal today and his passing improving, Conte is excited to see Kante add even more qualities to his game, in what is certainly a frightening prospect for the rest of the Premier League.

‘He played an amazing game,’ Conte said after today’s 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

‘We are used to see this, he is a fantastic player and it is incredible to see a lot of good runs and quality and is improving a lot his finishing and passes.

‘It’s important he improves his weakness. Now he is a really top player.’

Kante first made his name in England in his single season at Leicester, during which he played a major role in guiding the club to a shock Premier League title win.

The 26-year-old then repeated the trick in his first season at Chelsea, and came back to haunt his old club today with the winning goal.
