Eden Hazard has sent a good luck message to Neymar after the Brazilian completed his world record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

The 25-year-old is now the most expensive footballer in history after joining the French club from Barcelona for £198 million, and was officially unveiled as a PSG player on Friday.

Hazard, meanwhile, spent five years in France with Lille and helped guide the club to a league and cup double in 2011.

The Belgium international was also crowned Ligue 1’s Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons before his £32 million move to Chelsea in June 2012.

And Hazard has backed Neymar to become Ligue 1’s best player in his first season at PSG.

Hazard is currently sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery at the start of June and will miss the start of the new season.

The 26-year-old has been linked as a replacement for Neymar at Barcelona but on Friday, Antonio Conte laughed off the idea of the Belgian moving to Camp Nou.

‘We are trying to buy the players, not to sell!’ said the Chelsea boss.

‘Otherwise the number [of players in the squad] is always less and we are in trouble.

‘I think these are rumours, Eden is very happy to stay with us to stay with Chelsea, to start the new season, to recover from his injury.’
