Arsenal are set to make a £22million transfer bid to sign Ruben Neves from Porto, according to reports.
The Gunners are looking for a quality holding midfielder after Francis Coquelin was ruled out for the next few months with a knee problem.
A host of established stars have since been linked, but the Sun says Arsenal are looking at bidding £22m for 18-year-old Porto star Neves.
It’s already been reported that Arsenal have been scouting the player, and now it appears they’re taking their interest a step further.
Arsenal want to pay £10m up front with a further £12m to follow later.
Neves broke a Champions League record earlier this season by becoming the youngest player captain by skippering Porto against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
