Pep Guardiola wants to take over as Manchester United manager when he leaves Bayern Munich, according to reports.

Guardiola, who is believed to be stalling on a new contract at Bayern, has been strongly linked with Manchester City in recent days.

Chelsea are also rumoured to be keen on him, but the Mail on Sunday says Guardiola would favour taking charge at United over those options.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has been subject of pressure this week due to United’s dull performances.

Van Gaal has promised to leave and then retire when his contract expires in 2017, but the news of Guardiola’s interest could change United’s plans.
