This has been a pretty incredible week for Manchester City. Not only does the team look very good again, the results from the other teams in the top-four race continue to favor the Sky Blues. In midweek, City were the only side in the Top 6 to pick up all three points, which moved them level with Liverpool.

Then the weekend came, and Liverpool lost to Hull City, while Arsenal once again failed to win at Stamford Bridge. Only Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur won on Saturday, and Manchester United cannot overtake City this weekend, so the Citizens are in fantastic position to leap over Arsenal and Liverpool and finish Matchweek 24 in third place, just one point behind Spurs.

Consistency of results is key to maintain a strong position in the table, but the latest performances have been so encouraging that the good results look again like a real possibility. It doesn't seem impossible to win games anymore, and Gabriel Jesus has been the game-changer Pep Guardiola and his men badly needed to regain confidence and start to play well and win games again.

Swansea City present a very difficult challenge on Sunday, as Paul Clement's side are no longer relegation candidates and play a very intense, competitive football now. The Swans are in very strong form and can cause lots of problems to the Citizens.

We said the same about West Ham, though, and we know how that went. Another win like that would be pretty cool.

TEAM NEWS

Since Ilkay Gundogan is out for the season, we don't need to think about him anymore, which means the entire squad is healthy and available for selection. One of the main reasons for City's inconsistency of results is the number of suspensions and injuries Guardiola has had to deal with while trying to adapt to the Premier League. With a fully fit squad, Pep can finally select the best possible team for every match, and if this continues for the next few months, this team could finally win multiple games in a row.

For Sunday, don't expect too much change from the win against the Hammers. Sergio Agüero is going to return and take the place of one of the attackers, most likely Raheem Sterling. At the back, captain Vincent Kompany will probably start to deal with Fernando Llorente's aerial threat, and it's either Fernandinho or Yaya Touré alongside David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne in midfield.

Willy Caballero started over Claudio Bravo against West Ham, and he'll probably keep his place until the Chilean shows enough in training to earn a starting spot again.

PREDICTION

Swansea will make the game tough, but City's momentum will continue and another statement will be made: 3-0 to the hosts.
