Roma boss hopeful Manchester United target will stay

Roma boss Rudi Garcia has revealed he is still unconcerned about the future of Manchester United target Kevin Strootman.

The midfielder was linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer transfer window, despite being out of action with a knee injury.

Strootman is expected to return within six weeks or so, providing Roma with a boost ahead of the winter period.

However, beyond that, Garcia has admitted that he does not know what the future holds for the Dutch international.

"Is Strootman for sale? You'll have to ask our president," Garcia said after Roma's 1-1 Champions League draw with Manchester City.

"But the intention of the club is very clear: Strootman is an important player for us and I hope he is available for the home game against City on 10th December, which is a crucial match."
