Reports – Newcastle flop Ben Arfa will have to wait until the summer to find new club

Former Newcastle United flop Hatem Ben Arfa will wait until the summer to find a new club, according to reports in France.

The playmaker is currently contracted to Nice, but FIFA have blocked him for playing for the French side as it breaks regulations regarding players playing for three different clubs in a single season.

However, the 27-year-old had been linked with a switch to the MLS or China instead.

The Frenchman could move to those leagues due to the fact that their new seasons begin in March, meaning he will not break FIFA rules by playing for three teams in the same season.

But - according to L'Equipe - Ben Arfa has scrapped the idea of finding a club before the summer.

The Frenchman has instead decided to wait and assess his options in the hope he can attract a big European side.
