Not for sale! Liverpool and Arsenal receive huge transfer blow

Arsenal and Liverpool have been told to forget about signing Ligue 1 top scorer Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman has been in stunning form for Lyon this season, firing 21 league goals in the club's rise to the top of the table.

Unsurprisingly the 23-year-old's performances have not gone unnoticed, with several sides keeping tabs on the forward's availability.

Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly leading the way, while Manchester City have also sent scouts to assess the France international this season.

However, chasing clubs have now been dealt a blow in their pursuit after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas insisted the star striker is not for sale.

"Alexandre is not for sale. He is part of the generation of players we want to take to the new stadium," Aulas told beIN Sports.

"He will not be for sale and he will not leave."
