Manchester United transfer report: Jose Mourinho makes out-of-favour Real Madrid star his No.1 January target

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly made Real Madrid playmaker Isco his number one January target.

According to AS, Mourinho is extremely keen to bring the Spain international to Old Trafford as soon as possible.

The 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the first team squad since joining Los Blancos from Malaga in 2013 and has made just three LaLiga appearances for Real this season - all as a substitute.

AC Milan are also set to battle for Isco’s signature with a January move away from the Bernabeu a likely cause of action.

Other European clubs are sure to be on high alert as Isco continues to be overlooked by Real boss Zinedine Zidane, but a decision on his future is not expected to be made until the window reopens.
