Man United line-up v Newcastle: This team to keep Champions League rivals at bay?

Man United have a battle on their hands for Champions League qualification.

Liverpool are two points behind United's 50, followed by Southampton (four points) and Tottenham, seventh place with 44 points.

Ahead of the trip to play Newcastle at St James' Park Manager Van Gaal has revealed Robin van Persie is still sidelined because of an ankle injury, but it is still too early for midfielder Michael Carrick to start.

Angel Di Maria has taken a lot of stick lately, especially with the recent performances of Ashley Young, while Adnan Januzaj took a lot of plaudits from his display against Sunderland.

Defender Phil Jones is an option for the manager, though, having missed the 2-0 win against the Black Cats.
