Man United land former Man City defender

Manchester United have landed former Manchester City defender Sadiq El Fitouri on an 18-month contract.

The 20-year-old only made his Salford City debut in January, but impressed the Red Devils' hierachy during a week's trial at the Aon Training Complex in Carrington.

El Fitouri will link up with United's under-21 squad and admitted it is an "unbelievable" opportunity to join Louis van Gaal's side.

"This is honestly a dream come true for me and I have to thank Salford City for the chance, as well as the faith they have shown in me," said El Fitouri.

"I am really looking forward to what happens next and to be given the opportunity to do so at Manchester United is unbelievable."
