Leicester City FC news: Craig Shakespeare eases injury fears over Wes Morgan

Craig Shakespeare is hopeful that Wes Morgan is not facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The influential defender returned after a month out with a back problem in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

However, he was withdrawn six minutes from time of the 1-1 draw, which left Foxes fans worried that he may have suffered a recurrence of the injury.

But manager Shakespeare said: "I am thinking it is just cramp.

"Obviously he hadn't trained a lot in the last month and he was 50/50 [to play].

"It was more or less in the last three days where he was included in the group training.

"It was a big ask for him in a game of this magnitude, but I thought he was excellent. We are thinking it is cramp, hopefully it is no more.

"But I have only just seen him briefly at the end so I am going to wait for more of a heads up on it from the physios."
