Everton FC transfer news: Romelu Lukaku will not be sold for less than £100MILLION, talkSPORT told

Everton have slapped a £100milion price tag on Romelu Lukaku.

The Toffees are determined to hang on to their top goalscorer and Player of the Year and hope their huge valuation scares off potential suitors.

Lukaku is being eyed by former club Chelsea, with their star forward Diego Costa expected to move on this summer.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is also keen on the Belgian as he targets a number of big-name attacking additions.

Lukaku has rejected the offer of a new long-term contract at Goodison Park and has just two years left on his current deal.

But Everton, bankrolled by billionaire Farhad Moshiri, have no desire to cash in on the 24-year-old this summer.

Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to play Champions League football and may push for a move away from Merseyside.

Moshiri, though, is ready to play hardball with the forward and is only prepared to sell if he receives a bid in excess of £100million.

That would smash the world transfer record set by Manchester United last summer when they paid £89million to re-sign Paul Pogba.
