Arsenal and Liverpool BOOST? Fenerbahce deny claims in-demand defender Simon Kjaer has agreed AC Milan switch

Turkish giants Fenerbahce have denied reports that Arsenal and Liverpool target Simon Kjaer is on the verge of completing a move to AC Milan.

As talkSPORT told you last month, the Denmark international has his heart set on a move to the San Siro and was ready to snub interest from the Premier League.

However, despite reports suggesting that a £10.5million fee had been agreed with Milan, Fenerbahce have quickly quashed those rumours.

An official club statement reads: "The article published today in both the Fanatik and Aksam newspapers claiming that we have struck a €12m [£10.5m] deal with AC Milan are false.

"We have not received such an offer. We urge these newspapers not to share fake news and be more responsible in leading the public."

The news will come as a boost to both Arsenal and Liverpool who have been targeting the defender.

Fenerbahce are demanding £17.5m for their star man who has another two years remaining on his current contract.
