Another injury worry for Arsenal as Wilshere set to miss Burnley clash
Jack Wilshere is expected to miss Arsenal's Premier League clash with Burnley on Saturday and is also a doubt for next week’s Champions League meeting with Anderlecht.
The England midfielder has picked up a minor knee injury in training, his Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed at his press conference ahead of the meeting with the Clarets at the Emirates.
"There is a slight problem with Wilshere. I don't think he'll be available against Burnley,” said Wenger.
"It's very, very short term. He took a kick on his knee. I don't know if Tuesday will be too early or not. He's not training at the moment."
Although the 22-year-old’s injury is a minor one, it will be a huge worry for Arsene Wenger, who is already missing a host of key men.
Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny, David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud are all currently sidelined, while Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for the game against Burnley with a hip problem he picked up against Sunderland last weekend.
