Fenerbahce have confirmed they turned down a €5 million summer bid from Manchester City for midfielder Oguz Kaan Guctekin, who is also wanted by Tottenham and Arsenal according to reports in Turkey.

Turkish outlet SporX quote Fenerbahce club president Aziz Yildirim as saying: “We had a €5m offer for Oguz Kaan from Manchester City in the summer. He’s a product of our academy. We didn’t sell.”

The 18-year-old only made his professional debut last weekend, coming on as a late substitute in Fenerbahce’s Super Lig victory over Sivasspor (h/t Turkish-Football.com).

It will be interesting to see if Spurs improve on Manchester City’s offer when the transfer window reopens in January, or perhaps next summer.
