Real Madrid are considering a move for Toby Alderweireld, according to reports in Spain.
The champions of Europe want to sign a top centre-back to partner Sergio Ramos, and Spanish outlet Don Balon believes Alderweireld is among Madrid’s targets.
The Belgian’s contract runs out in the summer of 2019. Tottenham reportedly want to tie him down on a new, improved deal, but Alderweireld doesn’t appear to be any closer to committing.
Inter Milan have also been repeatedly linked with the 28-year-old, who Spurs signed from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015.
Hopefully a new contract can be sorted sooner rather later to put an end to speculation surrounding his future.
