It’s safe to say Harry Winks has enjoyed an exciting week.
The Tottenham midfielder received his first England call-up before making an unexpected debut in the senior side’s 1-0 victory over Lithuania on Sunday.
Football fans have clearly taken notice of Winks’ rise. According to Oddschecker, the 21-year-old has been the most backed name for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award since the start of October.
That’s despite his 66/1 odds. Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is current favourite at 5/2, with Marcus Rashford second favourite at 4/1 and Dele Alli at 11/2.
If Winks’ upward trajectory continues, he might be in with a chance of upsetting the odds.
He is so aware, composed, accurate, he is not easily disposed ,has perfected that Dembele turn and does not make unforced errors what a player I am so impressed
