Harry Kane and Gareth Bale have been included on the 55-man shortlist for the FIFA team of the year.
The pair are the only British players to be named on the shortlist, which includes a total of 12 Premier League players.
Kane is the only Tottenham star included, while Manchester United have six players on the shortlist.
Around 25,000 from 75 different countries voted to decide the nominees. The final XI will be revealed next month.
Kane has scored six goals in five appearances for club and country in September so far, including a brace in Spurs’ 3-1 win over Dortmund in the Champions League.
