Vincent Janssen has admitted he is unhappy with his personal situation at Tottenham.

The Dutchman joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar last summer for a fee of around £17 million, but endured a difficult first season in England.

With just one substitute appearance under his belt so far this season, it looks like Janssen is set for another campaign of being backup to Harry Kane if he stays with Spurs.

The striker has been linked with Crystal Palace, West Brom and Stoke City in recent weeks.

Asked if he is unhappy with his current role for Tottenham, Janssen told NOS (via Football Orange): “You’re never happy with this [not playing], everyone wants to play, but the situation is so.”

When questioned on whether he will stay at Spurs, Janssen said: “I do not want to say too much about it at the moment. I want to focus on the Netherlands, The other questions I leave for later.”
