HECTOR BELLERIN has begun to force through his move away from Arsenal after Barcelona made it clear they will not wait indefinitely for the full-back.

Bellerin contacted Arsene Wenger to discuss being allowed to leave the club before he returned from the European U21 Championship.

Arsene Wenger took this request seriously and met with the Spaniard as soon as he arrived in London to discuss keeping the youngster at the club.

Wenger outlined his project and expressed how important Bellerin is to him and the club's progression as a whole.

It has been clear for some time though that Bellerin's dream has always been to play for Barcelona.

Barcelona made contact with the defender some time ago and  more or less agreed personal terms, but Arsenal are totally unwilling to sell.

Bellerin has also reportedly made clear that he is willing to take a massive pay cut to make his dream move come true.

It is likely that the two will meet again for showdown talks to finalise an agreement, whether it be that the full-back will stay for at least one more year or go to Barcelona.

If Arsenal were to agree to sell the defender the price would be relatively high as the club don't have a replacement lined up.

But Arsene Wenger has already been busy in the transfer and could dip in again with the large pot of cash he'd get for Bellerin.

Barcelona would have to pay between £25-30million if they wished to change the Gunners' mind and lure Bellerin to the Camp Nou.
