Winger looks to have fallen out of Sam Allardyce's plans following the big-money arrival of Theo Walcott from Everton

The BBC claims Sean Dyche has won the race for the former Tottenham star, who had been linked with a move to Newcastle.

Lennon was facing an extended spell on the Everton bench following the big-money arrival of Theo Walcott.

Yannick Bolasie’s return from injury also saw opportunities limited for the ex-Spurs star.

And despite making nine starts this season, Lennon did not appear to be in Sam Allardyce’s plans for the future.

It was believed Newcastle were leading the race for his signature.

Dyche has already wrapped up a loan deal for Spurs winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and is clearly aiming to speed up his team’s play on the wings.

Scott Arfield has also been offered a lucrative new contract in a bid to ward off interest from West Ham.
