Huddersfield complete £11million Alex Pritchard signing from Norwich to boost survival hopes

David Wagner finally ends his long chase for former Tottenham youngster in time for the midfielder to be available to face West Ham this weekend

HUDDERSFIELD have completed the £11million signing of Alex Pritchard from Norwich.

SunSport revealed how Terriers boss David Wagner finally ended his long pursuit of the 24-year-old by sealing s deal last night, and the club have confirmed the move today.

His signing went through in time to beat the deadline for him to make his debut for the club againsty West Ham this weekend.

SunSport exclusively revealed a transfer was imminent earlier this week, with the German boss looking for new recruits to help his side beat the drop.

Huddersfield have only won twice in their last 11 Premier League fixtures, but still sit 11th in the table.

Eddie Howe was also interested in the services of the former Tottenham midfielder, but it is the Yorkshire outfit that has won the race for his signature.

Pritchard has landed a three-and-half-year deal with the three-time top-flight champions.

An ankle injury forced the England youth star to miss the start of the season, but he has starred in recent games, notably the 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the FA Cup on the weekend.

He has featured in nine games in all competitions this season - netting once and providing two assists.

Huddersfield boss Wagner said: “I’m very happy to be able to welcome Alex to Huddersfield Town.
