FA Cup news: Lowly Yeovil upset Bradford, Huddersfield march on as Cardiff are held in an action-packed third round

There were a number of surprises around the country as FA Cup third round fever swept around the nation

YEOVIL, the lowest-ranked team left in the FA Cup, produced an upset as they defeat League One high-flyers Bradford City.

The Glovers were only able to name five subs, but Darren Way’s depleted squad proved too much for the Bantams.

Marcus Barnes fired Yeovil, who are struggling in 21st spot in League Two, into the lead shortly after the hour mark.

And Jordan Green secured their spot in the fourth round as he struck the second and final goal with just quarter of an hour left.

Premier League Huddersfield also marched on in the competition after overcoming a tricky visit to Championship strugglers Bolton courtesy of two goals in two second-half minutes.

Rajiv van la Parra bundled home from close-range before Danny Williams’ deflected 30-yeard effort doubled the advantage straight from the restart.
