Huddersfield Town involved in bizarre legal battle over their shirt’s logo
Sports company UED claim the Terriers' current shirt sponsor OPE sports have an 'identical' logo
HUDDERSFIELD are at the centre of a legal wrangle over their shirt's logo.
UED Sports claim their emblem is "identical" to the branding used by current club sponsors OPE Sports.
Both designs feature their company names using blue squares and the same Chinese lettering appearing underneath.
Sports agency UED have written to their rival highlighting the issue.
In a legal letter posted on social media last week, UED wrote: "You are certainly aware of the Trade Mark, since your figurative sign OPE Sports is without any doubt substantially identical to the Trade Mark."
They have also complained to the Premier League, but their allegations fell on deaf ears.
