David Moyes furious as referee Bobby Madley changes his mind and bizarrely over-rules linesman to allow late Bournemouth equaliser

DAVID MOYES let rip at ref Bobby Madley after West Ham blew the lead twice in a relegation ding-dong.
The angry Hammers boss confronted Madley on the pitch after the official dealt the Hammers’ survival fight a massive blow with two key decisions in a thriller.
Madley overruled linesman Simon Long who had initially disallowed Bournemouth’s injury time equaliser.
He also let off Cherries defender Simon Francis with just a booking for planting his boot in the face of Cheikhou Kouyate right in front of the dugouts.
Moyes said: “For him to overrule the linesman’s decision I couldn’t believe. I think you could question the offside.
"You could actually question whether the linesman’s decision to put his flag up was right or wrong because it looks pretty level.
“What you can’t do is question that the Bournemouth player puts it in with the top of his arm.
"So the goal should be ruled out one way or another.
“I’ve got to admit, when I saw the commotion i still thought there was no way he would overturn it. I couldn’t how he was going to overturn it. Why would you?
The linesman puts his flag up for offside. Why would you even question it? So who questioned it?
“I think he said that the linesman put his flag up to draw attention to it.
I thought: “I’ve never heard of that, ever!”
Midfielder Kouyate has a cut mouth and fat lip and needed lengthy treatment after being booted in the face by Francis’ reckless head-high challenge.
Moyes said: “If one of my players had done it then everybody would have been screaming for him to be banned for six or seven games.
"I don’t think Francis looks at the player, he continually looks at the ball.
“I wish I wasn't talking about referees. I think the referees in this country do a good job.
"Its a tough game. But it was really costly for us today in the end.
I think if one of our players had stuck his foot up high, and I can think of one in our team, they would probably be talking about giving him a jails sentence if he'd done that."
Moyes was referring to Hammers striker Andy Carroll who has already been banned for elbowing this season.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admits his side got lucky with Madley’s bizarre decision following a consultation with assistant Long.
Howe said: “I didn’t think it was going to be given because of the length of conversation between the referee and linesman. It looks like we might have got away with one there.
“I know it was difficult for West Ham to take but I thought it was what we had deserved on the balance of play.
“We were excellent and I was very pleased with the performance.
We were more like ourselves in terms of creating chances and working their goalkeeper.
“We showed strength of character and the fight in the team was really strong so we were bitterly disappointed not to win because I felt we should have.”
