Bristol City coach pleas for help finding phone lost in Manchester United win celebrations
Performance analyst Sam Stanton got so caught up in pitch invasion and celebrating with players he dropped his iPhone and has turned to social media in bid to get it back
A Bristol City coach has launched a public appeal after losing his mobile phone celebrating on the pitch after their Carabao Cup win over Manchester United.
Performance analyst Sam Stanton joined in the jubilant scenes after the Championship club's stunning 2-1 quarter-final win over United.
But he got so carried away with the emotion of the dramatic last-gasp win over Jose Mourinho's side he ended up dropping his iPhone.
And now Stanton has appealed to the City fans who were with him on the turf at Ashton Gate to see if any of them picked it up.
Stanton tweeted: "If any #BristolCity fans found an iPhone on the pitch last night please let me know. Got a little carried away .... @bcfctweets"
The hope is one of the revellers who mobbed the players during the pitch invasion spotted the handset on the floor and picked it up.
City's win courtesy of the last-gasp winner from Korey Smith meant dumped holders United out of the competition.
And it puts them in the last four of the competition for the first time, where they have been drawn to face Manchester City over two legs.

United boss Mourinho was left fuming with his players after the shock loss, and suggested City were fortunate to get the win in the manner they did.
He said: “They were a bit lucky but fought a lot to be lucky.
