Liverpool want Thomas Lemar despite Arsenal interest as £90m-rated Monaco star favours Anfield over Emirates next month
French winger could be set for a big-money move to the Premier League next month as English duo ready bids
LIVERPOOL are reportedly set to launch a January bid for Monaco star Thomas Lemar.
The Independent claims he wants to join the Reds next month despite strong interest from Arsenal.
Lemar, 22, has apparently been a long-term target for Jurgen Klopp, who is also reportedly hoping to land Naby Keita six months early from RB Leipzig.
Monaco want £90million for their key winger, who has contributed to six goals in 12 Ligue 1 starts this season.
But Liverpool are anticipating another Barcelona bid for Philippe Coutinho and want to ensure they have a ready-made replacement for the Brazilian.
Barca have been warned off a move for Antoine Griezmann by Atletico Madrid and may now be turning their attention solely to Coutinho.

He could fetch upwards of £120m, giving Liverpool plenty of funds to secure a deal for Lemar.
But Arsenal are said to remain interested after missing out on the France international last summer.
