LEICESTER defender Christian Fuchs has compared Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku to Hercules, while revealing Jamie Vardy is a "big mouth".

The 31-year-old has spoken of the two Premier League forwards - lauding them both - and has praised former boss Claudio Ranieri and the Foxes owners.

Speaking to spox.com, the Austrian international lauded the sheer physical presence of the Red Devils maestro.

He said: "Stand beside Romelu Lukaku and you know it.

"He is a Hercules and I suppose a power lifter by profession. Some Premier League players are machines."

The Belgian star has netted an impressive 93 English top-flight goals, but isn't the only lethal hitman in the league.

Leicester boast their own formidable frontman, with Vardy having scored seven times this season.

He was instrumental in the Foxes winning the league in the 2015/16 campaign, where Fuchs posted a video to social of the squad celebrating their triumph round Vardy's house.

And speaking of the England international, the ex-Schalke left-back said: "He is a cool and crazy guy with a big mouth, but he turns his words into action – at least mostly!"

Fuchs, who moved from the Bundesliga to the King Power Stadium in 2015, also hailed the impact of Ranieri in his debut season in charge.

Ranieri is now managing Ligue 1 side Nantes after being sacked by Leicester last season, but has been praised by his former player.

Fuchs said: "Claudio had his own ideas, but his most important measure was to not change a lot.

"His man management was brilliant, and he has been a grandfather-figure for all of us.

"He knew that players are not machines, but people with interests and families.”

And he also came to the defence of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha who was criticised for dismissing the fan favourite.

He said of the 60-year-old: "He is an open guy.

“(He) wants to be in contact with the players all the time and give us the feeling he is there for us. He is a boss with whom you can have a lot of fun.”
