PAUL POGBA was not pictured arriving at the Lowry Hotel with his Manchester United team-mates on Friday.
And, at the same time, A Star Barbers uploaded a picture onto Instagram showing the Frenchman having his hair cut.
Though there is no confirmation this was the reason for his late arrival, Pogba is known to be a fan of flamboyant hair dos.
One player who was pictured at the hotel was the under-fire Henrikh Mkitaryan.
The Armenian had come in for criticism from Jose Mourinho following some poor recent displays.
He explained his No 22's recent absence from the matchday squad: "I wasn’t happy with his last performances.

"I’m not speaking about one or two, I’m speaking about three, four or five.
"He started the season very well and after that, step by step, he was disappearing.
"His performance levels in terms of goal-scoring and assists, high pressing, recovering the ball high up the pitch, bringing the team with him as a No.10, were decreasing.
"That was enough, because the others worked to have a chance. Everybody works to have a chance. It’s as simple as that."
