Manchester United transfer news: Red Devils send scouts to watch West Ham prodigy Domingos Quina
Hammers youngster signed his first professional contract on his 17th birthday after he joined from Chelsea
MANCHESTER UNITED sent scouts to watch West Ham prodigy Domingos Quina, according to reports.
The 17-year-old is highly-rated at the Hammers and the club are hopeful that he has a bright future at the top of the game.
But if Jose Mourinho gets his way, it will be in a Manchester United jersey.
ESPN claim the gaffer had representatives watch the midfielder feature for Portugal Under-19s against Spain.
And they would have been impressed with Quina's display after he bagged a goal in a 2-1 win.
The Hammers believed they landed a major coup when they signed Quina from rivals Chelsea.
He had a string of Europe's top clubs watching him in action including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
But after West Ham promised to hand him his first professional contract on his 17th birthday, it proved a move too difficult to turn down.

Quina has yet to make his professional debut in the league for the Hammers and with a contract until the summer of 2019, United are taking a strong interest.
Mourinho and super agent Jorge Mendes will hope to use their Portuguese connections to lure him to Old Trafford.
And his future could be left in the hands of new West Ham boss David Moyes.
Quina may be forced to look for a new club if he struggles to break into the first-team.
