Yannick Bolasie back in Everton training as he bids to make return after 11 months out
Former Crystal Palace winger suffered a cruciate ligament injury in December 2016, requiring two surgeries to fix it
YANNICK BOLASIE has edged closer to making his return to Everton training after 11 months out injured.
The former Crystal Palace winger, 28, suffered a cruciate ligament injury in December 2016, requiring two surgeries to fix it.
Bolasie only swapped Selhurst Park for Goodison in the summer of 2016, making just 16 appearances - scoring once - before his season-ending injury.
The forward's last game was in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United - when he suffered the horrific injury.
But now, Bolasie - who recently posted a video of himself working his way back to fitness - is set to return to Everton's Finch Farm training complex next week.
As things stand, the DR Congo international has no target date for a competitive return set.
On his impending return, Bolasie said: "I haven't set a date yet for that return.
"I can't really say right now. I'm back in on Monday at Everton.

I'm probably going to be integrated with the team then, but comeback I don't know.
"I want to make sure I'm feeling good. It's not just my name on my shirt on the pitch; I want to make sure it's me."

Bolasie's return to the Everton fold will be a huge boost to the Merseysiders who have desperately struggled this season.
While ex-boss Ronald Koeman spent around £150million in the summer, many of the new signings have failed to fire.
A speedy forward like Bolasie could be just the spark the Toffees need to get back on track.
