POLICE are investigating a Stoke supporter who threw a bottle in the direction of Jamie Vardy during their 2-2 draw with Leicester.
A plastic beer bottle was hurled in the direction of the England ace from the Boothen End of the bet365 Stadium during Saturday's clash.
The Potters fan launched the missile towards Vardy after the Foxes had regained the lead in Stoke - thanks to a Riyad Mahrez strike.
Stoke defender Kurt Zouma retrieved the bottle and handed it a steward in the ground.
Staffordshire police are now investigating the incident - revealing they have spoken to a Potters fan.
A spokesperson said: "A man was detained, but not arrested, at the ground and questioned about the incident.
"We are now reviewing footage from the game and will decide on any appropriate action once that is complete."
Leicester had taken the lead in the first-half of the game at the bet365 Stadium thanks to an Vicente Iborra goal.

Stoke equalised almost immediately after Xherdan Shaqiri hit back, before Mahrez put the visitors back on the front foot on the hour-mark.
However, super-sub Peter Crouch levelling things up with 15 minutes left on the clock - with boss Mark Hughes reserving special praise for the veteran forward.

Hughes said: "Peter was effective when he came on.
"He always gets himself in a good position and he understood what was required. He changed the game for us."
The draw did little to help either side, with Stoke now in 14th - just three points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Leicester sit in 12th heading into the international break - one point above the Potters.
