Chelsea eye Germany Under-17 striker Jann-Fiete Arp but Hamburg are desperate to tie him to a longer deal
The 17-year-old has netted twice in his three Bundesliga games - sparking interest from across Europe
HAMBURG will fight to keep Chelsea target Jann-Fiete Arp.
The Germany Under-17 striker has attracted interest from major European clubs after two goals in his three Bundesliga games.
But Hamburg want Arp, 17, to extend his contract beyond 2019.
Goal.com report the Germans' sporting director Jens Todt as saying: “His agent knows we’re ready to talk 24 hours a day.
Arp has sprung to prominence this year after only signing his first professional deal months ago.
He bagged seven goals in the 2017 European Under-17 Championship and five in the U-17 World Cup - which England won in glorious style.
Arp made his Bundesliga debut as an 89th minute substitute against Werder Bremen before coming off the bench to score against Hertha on October 28.
Then he netted on Saturday in his first start, a 3-1 win at home to Stuttgart.

Premier League champions Chelsea already have a host of young signings and Academy products who they have loaned out around Europe.
And last month former Exeter midfielder Ethan Ampadu became the first player born this century to play for the Blues.
Ampadu, 17, came on for Cesc Fabregas when Chelsea were 4-0 up in their 5-1 Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest.
