MILE SVILAR is the youngest goalkeeper in Champions League history after starting for Benfica against Manchester United on Wednesday.
The Belgian teenager – aged exactly 18 years and 52 days - has beaten Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas’ record of 18-118 with his first club appearance.
The baby-faced keeper joined the Portuguese side from Anderlecht in the summer and was an unused sub against Maritimo at the start of October.
Brazilian goalie Julio Cesar – who was earning around £100,000-a-week at QPR as recently as 2014 - has been relegated to the bench behind the wonder-kid.
And first-choice goalkeeper Bruno Varela appears to have been dropped after the 5-0 drubbing to Basel at the end of September.
And the youngster has a serious challenge on his hands with Jose Mourinho naming a seriously attacking side.
Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata will all be bearing down on the Benfica goal.
The Portuguese side is already bottom of Group A with no points from two games after defeats to Basel and CSKA Moscow.
