But director of football Massimiliano Mirabelli claims there have been no moves in a show of support to under-fire Rossoneri boss Vincenzo Montella.

He said: "We already have a manager and we are not thinking of Conte nor about other managers."

Milan spent over £150millino this summer as new owners  Sino-Europe Sports splashed the cash in pursuit of glory.

But Montella has been unable to deliver on the field as the Rossoneri have struggled to keep pace with the Serie A pace-setters.

Conte admitted he was missing his homeland in a radio interview last month - claiming there was "not a doubt in my mind that I will be home before long".

Chelsea insist the interview was mistranslated and their boss was talking about the distant future but Conte has less than two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.

After winning the Premier League in his first season in England, the Blues chief agreed a pay rise but did not extend his contract.

Conte grew frustrated this summer after missing out on a host of transfer targets as he sought to defend this title.
