The 23-year-old has become one of the most wanted players in world football and was earmarked by Barcelona as a possible replacement for Paris Saint-Germain bound Neymar.

La Liga rivals Real Madrid have also monitored his situation in Italy when they were on the lookout for a superstar last summer.

Manchester United have also been linked with the playmaker who already has hit 12 goals in ten appearances for Juve this season.

Club chief Giuseppe Marotta says the forward will be going nowhere any time soon, with a fresh contract on the horizon.

He said: "He is priceless, because we are not a selling club.

"I always repeat that a player has his future in his hands and Paulo just said he wants to tie himself to our club for life.

"That means we will make another big financial sacrifice to keep him.

"We will soon lock him down to a new contract - it's what he asked us for."
