And the Liverpool Echo believe Anfield scouts will give Jurgen Klopp glowing reports which could lead to a big-money move.

The 18-year-old scored two penalties and created an assist in the 5-1 winners at the Arena Zabrze in Poland.

Like a number of Liverpool’s current attacking players, Havertz can play in a number of positions.

The coveted teen made his debut for Leverkusen in October 2016, becoming the club's youngest Bundesliga player at the age of 17 years and 126 days.

The playmaker made 24 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring four goals and collecting six assists.

He showed his potential in three Champions League games but missed the second leg of the last-16 game against Atletico Madrid because it clashed with his school exams.

Havertz, who scored against England last month, has been compared to ex-Chelsea man Michael Ballack and current Arsenal creator Mesut Ozil.
